Product Review: Nut Milk Bag
In my post on how to make homemade coconut milk the other day, I mentioned how using a nut milk bag makes the whole process so much easier. Trust me. Before I had this little beauty, I was straining my coconut milk through cheesecloth, little bits of coconut flakes ending up on any surface they could find, and if you’ve tried to clean up wet coconut flakes, you know how annoying it is.
With the nut milk bag, you pour your blended up coconut mixture (or blended up almond mixture if you’re making almond milk), into the nifty little bag, tighten the drawstring and squeeze the milk out with hardly any mess. Except for your hands. It’s a cinch to wring every bit of milk from the bag without getting coconutty bits everywhere.
Clean up is pretty simple too. Just dump your strained coconut bits into the trash or compost bin and rinse your nut milk bag out with water. You can turn it inside out to make it easier to rinse. Then just let it dry and voila! You have perfect, delicious, additive free coconut milk with hardly any effort. No need to thank me!
This product gets a super A+ from me! It’s extremely affordable, easy to use, and easy to clean. This bag makes it possible to make my own coconut milk several times a week very quickly! I love that it saves me a ton of money to DIY my coconut milk and that I don’t have to worry about all the weird junk they put in store bought coconut milk. If I’ve convinced you that you need a nut milk bag, you can find the one I use here.
If you try it, come back and let me know what you think!
